From Sydney via the Harbour Bridge or tunnel
- Take lane 3 or 4 and head for Epping
- Follow Epping Road or M2 (motorway) and turn right at Pennant Hills Road (Pennant Hills interchange)
- Turn left at Boundary Road. Look for the signs for Dural
- Follow the signs to Wiseman's Ferry
- When you reach the bottom of a steep winding hill you have reached Wiseman's Ferry. Turn at the first left, this is River Road
- Able Houseboats is 200m on the right, look for the sign NEXT GATE

Via Windsor
- Take Wiseman's Ferry Road (Highway Number 65) at McGrath's Hill and follow the signs to Wiseman's Ferry

From Gosford and Newcastle
- Turn right from the M1 freeway via Somersby at the Kariong or Peats Ridge interchange.
- Follow Somersby Road (Wiseman's Ferry Road) through mangrove Mountain and Spencer to Wiseman's Ferry.
- Cross at the main ferry and turn onto River Road at the Police Station.
- We're 200m along on the right hand sid

- If you miss either of these turn offs, that's ok. Continue on the M1 freeway and head towards Pennant Hills.
- Turn right at Boundary Road which is at the top of the hill after you cross teh railway line at Pennant Hills.
- You'll see the sign for Dural but as you continue, you'll see the signs to Wiseman's Ferry!
- It's straght ahead all the way until you reach the Hawkesbury at Wiseman's
